Google will probably also unveil the Pixel Watch 2 alongside the Pixel 8 duo. It may feature some design tweaks, such as a thinner profile and an updated digital crown. The wearable will allegedly be fueled by the Snapdragon W5 and the new chipset may improve the battery life and help it last longer between charges. The wearable is expected to switch to aluminum from a stainless steel case and this will probably help it shed some weight.The Pixel 8's screen is going to shrink down a bit from 6.31 inches to 6.17 inches and its refresh rate could increase from 90Hz to 120Hz. The Pixel 8 Pro's screen may also get a little smaller from 6.71 inches to 6.7 inches and this time around, it will be a flat screen.The Pixel 8 Pro is also rumored to have a new 8×8 time-of-flight (ToF) VL53L8 sensor and a contactless thermometer.
The Pixel 8's release date is still a mystery but we can work out a date if we look closely at the company's most recent launch pattern. The Pixel 7 was officially revealed on October 6 last year and it was released a week later.
